What's nonsense is to think that Ukraine can do anything but lose more territory and lives by continuing the war.

But, sicko Zeepers don't care how many Ukrainians die so long as Russians are dying.

Is that your mentality?

No real country recognizes the occupied territories. Not Even China or Iran either.

That doesn't mean the annexed territory wasn't PART OF RUSSIA before it was reassigned to be part of Ukraine by the Soviets.

Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhi were not "reassigned" to be part of Ukraine by the Soviet Union. There were part of the independent Ukrainian state in 1917 and were recognized as such by Russia the following year. The Soviet Union was formed in 1922 by the union of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Transcaucasia. Ukraine entered the union as an equal member as Russia, not as a part of Russia. The aforementioned provinces were a part of Ukraine at the formation of the Soviet Union. They were not later reassigned. The only province with which this happened was Crimea.

That explains why that part of what used to be Ukraine was ethnically and culturally Russian.

Again, these provinces are ethnically Ukrainian, not Russian. This is especially true of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia whose populations are 80% Ukrainian. The only province with an ethnic Russian majority is Crimea.

And, Ukrainian nationalists had no right to try to force an illegally-formed government on the people there, let alone persecute and try to kill those there.

The governments formed after 2014 were chosen by free elections. There were not imposed. This is what the Russians did in Donbas. Nor was there any campaign to kill the ethnic Russian population. This is pure Russian propaganda.

Don’t forget about the UNoccupied areas of Ukraine that the Putin has magically decreed part of Russia. It’s hilarious to see Moscow’s dupes and useful fools air brush that inconvient truth while at the same time demanding Ukraine hold elections under the guns and ballistic missiles of Russia.

Totally correct. And trying to make such a deal only prolongs involvement in this conflict.

Thanks for sharing the Deep State/USAID version of events.

Did you get a paycheck from the $5 billion USAID spent on fomenting the Maiden coup?

Sir,
History shapes our future.
If we don’t learn its lessons we are doomed to repeat those mistakes. As Russia is doing now.

Yes, we learn the lesson from USAID and the way the CIA has used to meddle in other countries, destabilize them and setoff civil wars so our elite and the defense industry can profit off the misery.
