Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week said that if the U.S. cannot guarantee a quick path toward NATO membership, then there are alternative security options Kyiv would accept: nuclear weapons.
But don't think the United States is eager to agree to those terms.
"The chance of them getting their nuclear weapons back is somewhere between slim and none," retired Lt. General Keith Kellogg, special envoy to Ukraine and Russia, told Fox News Digital. "Let's be honest about it, we both know that's not going to happen."

Marcus - you still with us, bro? I thought USAID cut your funding?
Ukraine gave up nukes for worthless “guarantees”.
This is an obvious lesson :give up your guns and you are at the metcy of those who still have guns.
What Ben Stiller doink?
“The chance of them getting their nuclear weapons back is somewhere between slim and none,” and Slim Biden just left town.
Come on this is my favorite, Slim and None and Slim just left town.
If Zelensky wants peace he needs to emulate Switzerland. Salvage what’s left of Ukraine’s architecture and cultural history, fully demilitarize, open the borders, adopt the Euro and join the world as an economic partner. Dump all the pseudo-Nazi and anti-soviet crap and welcome all his neighbors.
He’s got decades of rebuilding ahead and needs to get started ASAP.
Zelensky wants WWIII and he doesn’t care how many people have to die.
Nukes or NATO.
Nukes or NATO.
Either-or is such a hot potato.
This I tell ya, brother,
Ya can't have one and not the other....
Bravo!
lol!
“open the borders”
A big advantage of not joining the EU is not having open borders.
The hardest thing about acquiring nukes is having access to the fissile materials required to make them.
Ukraine has because of its civil nuclear industry. All it needs to do is process the fuel rods further till they are weapons grade and then they can build nukes.
Ukraine gave up nukes for worthless “guarantees”.
That is true. If they had nukes they wouldn’t need Russia or NATO.
However, I am not sure what would have happened when they split off from the Soviet Union if they had tried to keep their nukes.
And slim just got up and is headed to the door.
I didn’t know Switzerland had open borders and welcomed all its neighbors.
Z is now in a hysterical fantasy land.
Kellogg - send him back to making cereal
