Senate Republicans are panning President Trump’s proposal for the United States to take over war-torn Gaza and push nearly 2 million Palestinians in the region to resettle elsewhere, with several GOP lawmakers dismissing the plan as unrealistic.
Even so, some GOP lawmakers are praising Trump for coming up with “fresh ideas” to address a bloody conflict spanning decades that has defied years of American effort to broker peace.
Republican senators say Trump’s proposal to turn Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” is gaining little traction on Capitol Hill and predict it won’t go anywhere, just like his plans to acquire Greenland and seize control of the Panama Canal.
“I think it’s a really dumb idea to talk about having U.S. troops in Gaza. It’s the last place on earth I’d send U.S. troops and I won’t support it,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

People need to start realizing that Trump does not hand out money without strings being attached.
Anybody remember what Trump said in North Carolina before flying to Los Angeles?
He said: “Yes, the Fed Govt will be sending money, but we want California to have Voter ID?
No Voter ID === No free money
I've never heard that policy before, that's thinking outside of the box.
After decades of hostility, and potentially more, that could be the solution to ending that nonsense.
Provide meaningful jobs (construction), the promise of better living conditions, and maybe the Palestinians would kick out Hamas and stop hating the Jews.

Our military is busy defending the border, taking out the cartels, invading Canada, and invading Greenland. Gaza should be second quarter’s business.
Unfortunately, Trump doubled down on this nonsense this morning in a TS post. Karoline Leavitt had calmed the waters somewhat yesterday by walking back some of Trump's comments, but I guess Trump just couldn't let that ride,
. According to Jonathan Swan, not even his closest advisors knew Trump was going to make these statements in the press conference and were completely blindsided.
His remarks have also empowered some of the nutters in Israel. There are reports this morning about Israel preparing to make arrangements to deport Palestinians from Gaza in line with Trump's proposal.Needless to say,this is going over like a lead balloon with Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.

Last night Gutfeld said the first thing Trump will do with Gaza is to build a Gentlemen’s Club. He’ll call it Gaza Strip.
Israel is going to have to clean out Gaza for good.
