Cringing through every movie John Hughes made

John Hughes, the great bard of 1980s teen movies? That's what one reviewer said.

Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in pink, National Lampoons Vacation, Home Alone, Ferris Bueller's day off on and on with movies that make me think of some NOT teenaged guy, but a pervert living out his sexual fantasies vicariously through some teens used as pawns by him in his movies forced to act as if this is the real way teens think and behave.

Only they don't, didn't.

How do or did people find this guys films charming? The only good things in them are there because of the culture he grew up in and still existed inside him like some ragged piece of cloth hanging onto to someone who went through a natural disaster. Which is what happened to our country and the better times that we saw torn away from us by the liberal faction in Hollywood and politics making movies like this populating the screens in theatres, you know, just before movie prices went too high for people to pleasantly to afford a nice time in the theatre. Only they took that away from us too, by making movies like these.

Only who could with scripts like this peppered with unsightly views of youths used like puppets for a dirty joke, a baudy snicker, a condescending tale to tell or was it an envious gape at the fresh faces coming into their own.

The talented kids in those movies made them somewhat watchable as I flinched through the lines fed them. I did not know they were all made by the same man till reading today on the net of this producer, writer.

Yet, he is lauded. Unbelievable.

Movies are a work environment, one in which many young actors have complained of sexual abuse from their employers, including Molly Ringwald.

I never saw Home alone, only included it to list Hughes movies.

Yet, strangely enough Macauley Culkin hooked up with Michael Jackson and still claims he was not molested by Jackson, many have claimed to be molested by Jackson in court, that he was a pedophile.

There were three witnesses testifying in court who claimed to have seen Culkin being molested by Jackson. Why did Jackson pick Culkin in the first place?

It makes one wonder if that he was receptive to it. Did Jackson know something prior to meeting him due to what went on behind the scenes? it’s certainly not beyond reach to consider being how so many child actors are molested.

If abuse happens on the set, then the victim should call the cops.

We cannot change what happened 40 years ago. But we should encourage every person to stand up and take action if this stuff happens.

It’s not going to erase the movies from my mind.

Hughes movie fictionalize the deeper story behind the real life shallow glimpes we have of other high school kids when we were in high school.
Take Ferris Bueller for example. I knew a kid in high school who was a friend. He could get away with anything but if I tried the same thing I would get in trouble. That dynamic is a movie.
Or 16 candles. At that age everyone at one time or another feels like a misfit and all the characters are sterotypical misfits.
They’re fun movies to watch as young people because there’s a lot of truth in them. But you’re right...they start to lose their luster as we age and mature.

These films encouraged kids watching them to accept this behavior as what kids do, they didn’t act like this and this has damaged our country. Kids today are way out of moral behavior often.

Abuse DID happen to these kids. Some of the parents sold them for the big money they made and then took control as adults of the check. Abuse is a lot more complicated then run to the cops. The abuse was done and over before they could stop it many didn’t even understand what was happening to them, how they were violated. The praise they recieved as fame grew, the parents being proud, the emotions were tangled. Culkin sued his own parents because they were taking all his money, he himself became a drug addict a well known symptom of abuse.

Sixteen Candles, Ringwald’s character’s crush Jake Ryan suggests to ‘the geek’ to have sex of his passed out girlfriend after a party at his house. The geek borrowing Sam’s underwear to brag to the guys in school that he ‘had her’, the destruction of the house in a party as funny. Even in Ferris Bueller the father’s beloved and expensive car destroyed by a kid that had no regard for his father’s prize possession. I only ever see those older men behind the camera spitefully ruining the good ways our families had, the morals, the Christian lifestyle we led back then. They hated it.

These films are a calculated spit in the eye to Christian values by an industry that basically hated our values are part of what the left has done to our country.

I understand the nostalgia. I understand not focusing on the films made years ago but the reality is this was part of that whole deliberate leftist agenda to change our culture and I hate them for it.

I guess you do.

Honestly, I dont think I ever changed a behavior based on a movie. One of the problems I had in the one film class I took in college is I never “got the deep message.” I was always a “cigar is a cigar” movie watcher. I was able to fake it enough to get a “B.”

I am more taken in by clever dialog and good cinematography. Both are in short supply these days.

John Hughes’ films are much more innocent than nearly any comedy film made in the past 30 years.

The only exceptions I can think of are “Napolean Dynomite” and “Nacho Libre”.

There were much more innocent comedies made in the early days of film. Things made by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Marx Brothers, etc. Peter Sellers’ comedies were, for the most part. Lots of comedies targeted to kids and families continued the tradition. Disney films, for example.

So if one part of vomit is not as bad as another it’s good?

Get real. These films were designed to tear down the morale fiber of our society. If you are a voter for Trump then this is what it is all about, restoring the society to it’s former values.

This is the stuff the left put out. Use the girls for sex and the boys (not revealed till later but that is what they were doing), get hip kids, do drugs, get drunk. Wake up pal. This is where the war began.

“So if one part of vomit is not as bad as another it’s good? Get real. These films were designed to tear down the morale fiber of our society.”

I’ve said for many years that finding clean, quality entertainment from Hollywood is like trying to eat a gourmet meal out of a dumpster.

Art in mass media has been continuously corrupted.

Humans find a way to use any new invention to do evil. Film, television, Internet, video games, and music in all of its media formats, including live performances.

When I get together with family to watch a popular movie or TV series, we use VidAngel to filter blasphemy, nudity, sex, etc.

I can certainly understand anyone who chooses to boycott these things entirely.

But the best option to change things is for those who are Christian and conservative to start making art worth consuming.

Hollywood is very aware that faith-based and family-friendly films and TV series are potentially very lucrative markets where there is an unmet need. The president of American Film Market, where most movies and TV content is bought and sold, has been saying so in recent years. But Hollywood doesn’t know how to make such content.

You talk like one.

You use the vocabulary and think everything is about sex.

It isn't.
