Except for George Strait.

Country music isn’t my favorite, but I saw George Strait at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in the mid/late-90s and LOVED his performance. Great music, great energy.

Also saw Brooks & Dunn there a year or so later and thoroughly enjoyed that show as well.

What they call “Country music” nowadays sure has changed, along with everything else, I guess.

I was looking for some guitar tutorials for some old country songs not long ago and got hooked on watching Wyatt McCubbin covers on YouTube of a lot of my old favorites. That guy is very entertaining! And inspiring, too. He makes me want to pick my guitar and play along.

That’s how bad mainstream “country” has gotten. CMT etc is about as woke as it gets.

Real country music isn’t affected and has some great songs.
