After the meeting, Panama's president said he discussed with Rubio the issue of Chinese ports near the Panama Canal, as well as migration.

Mulino said he would not renew the Panama-China Silk Road agreement, which could be terminated early. He said that his country's sovereignty over the Panama Canal is not up for discussion, the canal is operated by Panama and will remain so.

"I cannot negotiate, much less open a process of negotiations on the canal," Mulino said Thursday, saying that the issue "is sealed."

"The canal is Panama's," he said.

Question. How were millions of illegals able to enter Panama from Columbia and cross over the canal?

“I cannot negotiate, much less open a process of negotiations on the canal”

Somehow I don’t think Trump is ‘negotiating’ here.

I think we need an answer to that question before we make any deal with the Panamanian government. Even if they kick out the Chinese, what role did the Panamanian government play in enabling the millions who trekked northwards to the U.S. through Panama? If we control the canal, we can prevent mass migration from South America, through Mexico, and on to the U.S. border. Think of it as another border wall in addition to the big one on our southern border.

Take back the American Canal and block the Darian Gap. Screw this Panamanian idiot.

The President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino has announced that following his meeting yesterday with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Panama has decided not to renew its 2017 Memo with China, regarding their “Belt and Road Initiative” and that they will look towards voiding their Agreements with the Chinese Government prior to their End Dates set for 2027 and 2028.
