The NBA landscape has completely changed after an early morning blockbuster three-team trade that is one of the most shocking in league history.
The Mavericks are sending Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to the Lakers while Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick are going to Dallas, according to multiple reports.
The Jazz are the third team in the deal and are acquiring guard Jalen Hood-Schifino and two 2025 second-round draft picks from the Clippers and Mavericks.

This is my un-shocked face.
I am so over the NBA, I barely remember a single name since Mikhail Jourdaine. (Did I say that right?)
Well he hasn’t been carrying the team very far. And he’s getting expensive. And they get a first round pick in a few years.
Maybe I’ll bring out my old “Bad Boys” poster.
Trading a top ten player whose 25 for a 32-year old is outrageously stupid.
It's impossible to believe there weren't better trades than that available.
That's the really shocking thing. Word is nobody in the NBA knew Luka was on the trading block. Something stinks about this.
Trading Luka may have been the right thing to do, but seemingly limiting their take to what they could get from the Lakers is crazy.
There is no way the Mavericks wouldn't have gotten better offers if they had made it known Doncic was available.
Time will tell. Luka was not the right fit for the Mavs to WIN Championships...
Luka was the “Dak” of the Mavs. And unlike Jerry Jones, the Mavs were NOT going to extend Luka’s contract. That was smart move.
What a scam, a kick in the teeth to every Mav fan. When is Jokic going to the Knicks?
Who will Luka sign with? He’s a free agent at the end of the season. Will he sign with Lakers? Could he go back to Dallas?
This is why.
Setting up for the move to Vegas?
I’ll tell you the happiest man in Dallas right now, Jerry Jones.
Luka almost won the NBA title with aan serious injuried last year. It was up to players to fit around HIM. SCAM!!!
I'm not an fan of LeBron's personality but he's very disciplined. After all, he's 40 years old and still playing in the NBA.
Everyone else is happy to take the money after their first major contract.
After that, they do not care.
The NBA needs to give up on guaranteed contracts. They need to lock out the players for a season so the owners can regain control over their players again.
Also the ratings are tanking. Players are not marketable. Every team looks like the other.
He's a great talent. But he's not going to the NBA Finals again until he is able to deal with his issues.
Dallas is not willing to give him a new contract.
Smart.
Lakers. All the glamour, and LeBron’s special sauce will get Luka’s dad bod jacked for the league.
And the Celtics abused him in the Finals.
The trade isn’t the issue, makes perfect sense. It’s what they got for him that’s the issue.
Caitlin Clark proved it to us. You need a star in the league.
LeBron James used to be one (before he became a jack@$$).
