No worries. The goalposts have already been moved. I mean the search area has been moved. Now we’re looking to Ft. Walton Beach (where we usually go) and east towards Seaside and Rosemary, where she *thinks* she wants to go. This is how it is when I deal with my older sister. She often has demands that are nearly impossible to fill, so we get the next best thing, and she’ll complain because XYZ didn’t match. Or just X, or just Y, or just Z. It’s always something.

I’m actually having anxiety about this now.. The sad thing is…the trip hasn’t even been planned.

People sometimes say the best part of a vacation is in the planning, because of high expectations. Sadly, that isn’t my experience with my older sister. Not anymore.

But…she is my sister, and I know I’m not perfect either. I still love her no matter how much she twists me around in pretzels. I just try to not let it happen more than once a year.

“This is how it is when I deal with my older sister.”

Hey! I’M the OLDER SISTER in MY family! There will be NO dissension in the ranks, LOL!

My advice? Giver her TWO options. Let HER decide the outcome/locale (that you, yourself have ALREADY decided!) and make her THINK it was HER idea to begin with and all will be well. ;)

It’s really not THAT HARD to deal with The Older Sister. ;)
