Good question and I can’t answer it. Not directly. I wasn’t a SH-60 pilot but an ASW aircreman for a few years before moving into P-3Cs. My guess is that since it was a training event, they were busy up front and over-reliant on ATC for control while at an altitude reportedly higher than that approved. ATC should have recognized that and required them to drop to their assigned altitude. They were also reportedly flying with NVGs. I’ve never used them, but that may have contributed to the loss of situational awareness. Again, this is all just my $.02.

And the corrupt DOD can’t find a reason to ‘classify’ the name. Lucky for the bad people, the bought MSM won’t push for ‘the right for the public to know’ because the pilot belongs to a protected democrat ‘victim group’.

And within days or weeks the vast majority of the American Public would have forgotten the names of Dahmer’s parents and other relatives.
The same would be the case with the parents of this female pilot. No one will remember the parent’s names and no one will blame them. The female pilot was an adult and solely responsible for any of her actions.
It seems that this tragedy was a series of errors by the helicopter - out of their flight corridor, above their flight ceiling, focused on avoiding the wrong plane, and limitations on vision created by NVG. Suggests to me that the DOD is overstating the competence of the crew. When it was stated that this was a training mission, what exactly is meant by that? Was the flight done by a highly competent crew who was training on a specific mission or was the flight done to train a pilot to gain basic competence? If it was the latter, I could see the DOD going into CYB mode.
The lack of evasive action by the helicopter could imply a deliberate collision but until other information comes out, it is also perfectly consistent with the jet not being seen until the last possible moment, leaving no time to react.
If the crew in back was also monitoring the tower freq, he was likely also looking out the right side at the (wrong) departing aircraft. NO one was looking out the left side, and the lane was a complete surprise, momentarily.
The crash was a public event and no one involved has a 'right to privacy'. Everyone involved - the DOD boys and the corrupt press bimbos and pretentious 'men' know this is wrong. I'm guessing the DOD couldn't come up with a bogus way to 'classify' this person's name while releasing the names of the other two pilots . So they made up the 'parents' excuse. One more shameful day for the compromised press. If the pilot was a DEI WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW.

I thought NVG improved vision, or were worn only when vision needed to be improved. Are they really necessary when bearing down on a jet with its lights looking like the sun? And if NVG obscured that, then they should be gotten rid of at once.
There is no way on earth that trajectory can be explained. It is infuriating to watch.

Not buying the kamikaze angle ... the odds of getting two aircraft each flying at speeds well over 100-200 knots to occupy the same physical location at precisely the exact same time are miniscule. It’s not like WW-2 when Japanese kamakazes would target US aircraft carriers. In that case the carrier is virtually standing still (10-20 knots) making a very easy target for the planes.
I am inclined to think that the combined incompetence of an ATC and the helo pilot resulted in this exceedingly rare result.
Seems like Andrew Eaves was the Instructor Pilot? So he it was his responsibility to take control of the helicopter if the female pilot was incompetent (which appeared to be the case here).

Twice the helo pilot ( male voice) affirmed seeing the “ CRJ” and also both times requested visual separation permission which was given. The helo had the con.

It could have happened so fast that he didn’t have time to take control. Or, he may have had normalcy bias and refrained from taking control due to that leftist woke factor ingrained into white males for the past two decades. The left has forced white males to give deference to anyone other than white males for some time now. This time it probably ended up costing lives.
We may never know if he ‘tried’ to take control at the last few moments. Only God knows that. But if we discover that the other pilot was indeed a male pretending to be a female, that will clue us in to the dysfunction that occurred.

That will all change now, thank God. We’ve been given a second chance. Let’s not muck it up. First things first, secure border, restore national security, restore military. Second, legislate regulations that will, if not ensure, at least mostly prohibit any and all election fraud activities in any future elections.
Everything else is lower priority and can wait. The economy will eventually recover and thrive again due to Trump’s management policies. The only thing we have to worry about right now... is what the enemy without and their helpers within... are willing to do to stop Trump from succeeding in restoring America.
They were right in front of effing runway. Looking out either side doesn’t matter you’re in the wrong place!
MUST have situational awareness, and realize where you are, and look for other aircraft, even if atc clears the flight path.
ATC cleared the helo to cross the runway, at the presumed lower altitude.
Personally I would not want to cross a commercial runway with only 100-150 ft of vertical clearance, and I I had to, definitely would have a set of eyes on the oncoming AND departing directions.
If not intentional, somebody dropped the ball bigtime here.
Every family wants names withheld that might make their loved ones look bad... That goes without saying.

thinks it’s OK? That’s done in totalitarian hellholes - well, for ‘the ‘elites’...
But this is a public issue and many people lost their lives... all information needs to be on the table. And yeah, that includes if one of the pilots was a trans who got the job BECAUSE she/it was a trans. Or other Didn’t Earn It job holders.
Oh and the DOD would have been happier if the fiasco in Afghanistan had never made the papers or the networks. None of us want our mistakes made public
