mergency crews are responding to an explosion in Northeast Philadelphia after a small plane crashed in the area of Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue, Philadephia police confirmed to CBS News Philadelphia.
Two people were aboard the plane, according to police. There are other injuries reported on the ground, police added.
Multiple homes are on fire in the area of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard following the crash, fire officials said.
It's unclear at this time what led to the crash. The victims' status was also not immediately available.

I was watching an online streamer and they showed a tik tok video that showed a part of a plane..
It looked like it survived as well as passports did some time back
Maybe there is a debris field that’ll have pieces that didn’t get burned up at impact, but it sure looked to be in better shape than one would suspect after watching the video/ door cam video..
That is a heck of an explosion for a small plane.
Wow, that video shows that the plane blew up mid air! Someone should send that to Fox News. They do not know how it crashed. This explosion explains all of the fires on the ground
Trace on Fox News said usually these planes can carry 1100 gallons(Or tons not sure if I heard him right) of fuel, so no wonder you see so much fire
If it was coming from Mexico and going to Missouri, why was it over Philadelphia? (Sorry; I’ve never flown so don’t know these things.)
