Yup...As Tears Go By 1965...As Tears Go By 1987
And don't forget "And Your Bird Can Sing" by the Beatles.A song directed at Mick Jagger and which featured his "bird",Marianne Faithful.News reports of that police raid of Keith Richards' house indicated that she sure could 'swing".

Didn’t really know her. Did some research. Beautiful in her youth. Pure voice. RIP.

I had the hots for her bigtime.

She could probably have told some wild tales. I was on this kick years ago when I was reading biography/histories of rock personalities/bands. I couldn’t believe some of the things these people did.

I saw her... I dunno... 20 years ago, she didn’t age well, came across like some tough assed biker mama, raw, mean, cranky, but... it was a rockin’ performance.

“Life” by Keith Richards is the best autobiography I’ve read.

She gave the best performance I ever attended. It was back in the late ‘80s and she had just released a comeback album, Strange Weather, after being literally on the street and addicted for the prior decade. It was at a small club in Washington D.C. on a weeknight, and almost no one was there. She sat on a high stool under a single un-shaded blue light bulb maybe ten feet away and sang for two hours straight, accompanied only by a bongo player. She poured our her undiluted painful emotion in every song. I was entranced the whole time, transfixed and transported to another timeless place. It was the highest form of art.
