Braga Fresh Recalls Broccoli Florets Sold At Walmart Over Listeria Concerns

Federal officials have upgraded a chocolate recall to the highest risk level over fears that consuming the product could “cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”

Three products from Cal Yee Farm — Dark Chocolate Almonds, Dark Chocolate Apricots and Dark Chocolate Walnuts — have been given a Class 1 classification for containing undeclared milk, according to the FDA.

Undeclared milk in food products can lead to serious health issues for people with milk allergies, including hives, cramps, dizziness, swollen vocal cords and unconsciousness, and cause death, according to the FDA’s update, which was issued on Jan. 22.

“The wrapper looked like what was inside”

That was actually a stroke of advertising genius IMO....interesting the show picked up on it.

BTW......Hershey bars are my personal crack cocaine. 😏

The first few seasons of Mad Men were probably the best show I’ve ever seen, it tailed off near the end of its run, as they got more into the late 60s.

“Your fresh broccoli has detected some listeria? Yeah, because it was grown in DIRT.”

That and how many illegal aliens urinated or defecated on it.

This is kind of weird. Despite the headline (”Consumption could cause death”), there’s no actual bacterial contamination or poison or anything like that.

Apparently, the issue is that there’s milk in the product that they didn’t put on the label. Now this could genuinely be serious to somebody with a milk allergy — but that’s not what the headline implies.

Mexico is only one of many Hershey manufacturing plants. Most are in the US with two others being in Brazil and India.

“All this means is they forgot to write in milk on the ingredients label”

Not a big deal......unless you have an acute allergy to milk/dairy.......then it’s a bit more serious wouldn’t you agree?

Is undeclared milk like undocumented milk.

Only a problem now that Trump is here?

They didn’t tell you that chocolate has milk. It might kill you if you don’t know that. How crazy is that?

Could be worse; they could have substituted melamine powder for milk powder. (For you youngins, that really happened years ago; a Chinese baby formula company used melamine instead of milk powder in some of their formula. Naturally, babies died.) What...they’re both white, right?

Hershey’s is not considered the best, when it comes to chocolate; far from it. But I like it, too. It’s what we grew up eating. Nestle chocolate always tastes weak and watered down to me. Cadbury is good, but I prefer Hershey’s. Btw, it’s all made in Mexico, now. Has been for many years. Afaik, only the tootsie roll company still makes their candy in the US.
