no, as I mentioned in my first comment, he was already on senior status, so DJT does NOT get to replace him.
however an active Obama judge on the CT district court in the New Haven seat died about 2 weeks ago, which means DJT will get to replace him. New Haven is where Yale is, so that’s actually a very important judgeship as any case regarding Yale will be held there.

Another thing that needs to be reformed is the President often rubber stamping people recommended by the Senators of a state. That’s often the reason why we end up with Reagan, Bush or Trump-appointed judges making left wing rulings.
