Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has reportedly pulled retired General Mark Milley's security detail and ordered the Department of Defense IG to convene a board to determine if grounds exist to reduce Milley in rank for actions that "undermine the chain of command" during President Donald Trump's first term.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will announce he is "immediately pulling" retired Gen. Mark Milley's personal security detail and security clearance, multiple senior administration officials tell Fox News.
The secretary is also directing the new acting Inspector General to conduct a review board to determine if enough evidence exists for Gen. Milley to be stripped of a star in retirement based on his actions to "undermine the chain of command" during President Donald Trump's first term, officials say.

“It removes their dignity and is the ultimate insult.”
You have to have dignity in order for it to be removed. A traitor has none.
Being busted down to one less star is an insult.
Having clearance removed probably = millions of dollars in consulting fees.
I hope he’s having a really good day. Oh wait ... I don’t.
As a military retiree, Milley is already subject to military law:

The Supreme Court has not yet specifically ruled on the military status of retired servicemembers, though it has approvingly noted that they remain part of the Armed Forces and subject to the UCMJ. Federal appellate courts (e.g., the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces [CAAF]), however, have consistently held that military retirees possess a military status that makes them subject to military law. In finding such status, courts have highlighted several connections between retired servicemembers and the military: they can be recalled to active duty and, accordingly, serve as a potential source of supplementary personnel; they are entitled to receive special pay and other benefits from the military, which are viewed, at least in part, as retainer conferrals; and they have the right to wear their uniforms and be referred to according to their rank (in certain circumstances).
The U.S. Court of Military Appeals (now the CAAF) articulated a widely adopted position in 1958 in United States v. Hooper: [Those] on the retired list are not mere pensioners in any sense of the word. They form a vital segment of our national defense for their experience and mature judgment are relied upon heavily in times of emergency. The salaries they receive are not solely recompense for past services, but a means devised by Congress to assure their availability and preparedness in future contingencies. This preparedness depends as much upon their continued responsiveness to discipline as upon their continued state of physical health. Certainly, one who is authorized to wear the uniform of his country, to use the title of his grade, who is looked upon as a model of the military way of life, and who receives a salary to assure his availability, is a part of the land or naval forces.
Consulting…..because if you can’t fix the problem, there’s money to be had prolonging it.
He should be jail.
Milley allegedly passed classified information to the Chinese, so that should be looked at very hard as well.
“The case to reduce Milley to three-star rank...”
That’s assuming O-9 (3-star, Lieutenant General) is the last rank at which Milley served honorably.
Go through his career with a fine-toothed comb.
Although we are citizens of the USA, we are also citizens of our states. Perhaps states should add treason/sedition to state laws. His state could then charge him accordingly and no president could pardon him.
That’s assuming O-9 (3-star, Lieutenant General) is the last rank at which Milley served honorably.
I’ve seen people serve honorably up to the rank of E-6, commit an offense and get busted down to E-4 with a suspended bust to E-3.
His phone call, classified info you mentioned, his ridiculous comments about white supremacy in the military just to mention a few of his outrageous actions—he is traitorous, worthless POS.
Milley deserves to be in Prison.
A reduction in rank of 1 Star is not enough punishment.
Sounds more like he should appear before a military tribunal
I was watching Fox the other day and Jennifer Griffin seemed upset that Milley’s portrait was removed from the Pentagon. Going to be a rough four years Jennifer.
I am surprised. She seemed to be a legit journalist. I would think that she should would have also been outraged at Milley’s unconscionable actions.
Recall him to active duty, send him to Leavenworth as his next posting - Latrine Commandant, daily inspections.
If you’re going to bang your drum constantly on a subject, it would add greatly to your position if you spelled your central point correctly: court MARTIAL.
Any investigation needs tentacles. Miley should be punished but more importantly, any current supporters active duty military or in private sector as contractors and advisers should to identified and rooted out. Otherwise it’s more whack a mole.
If he’s to truly be humiliated, make him give up just one of the massive number of ribbons he likes to wear. Maybe the one for perfect attendance, or the one for shiny shoes...
Rumor has it they were planning to do away with ribbons altogether. They were going to go with Ear Gauges .
