The same people are downloading deep seek.
I don’t. How do you do a chargeback?
You look on your bill or card for the phone number and call, the will walk you through it.
Or my card has online statements and I can review all charges and each one has it’s own little box to check then click dispute on one or several simultaneously.
Credit cards have more robust protections so when I travel I only use the credit card.
Been through lots of disputes because fraud and skimmers are so common now. They think boomers are easy targets. Many are, I suppose, if they aren’t tech current.
Did he at least get a fortune cookie?
He used his debit card instead of his credit card, I bet.
Never use a debit card online. Always use a credit card. Visa/MC are the 1000lb gorilla in the room. They will claw your money back and the seller will cough it up to avoid black marks on their file. Get enough fraud chargebacks and you will get blackballed and never be able to open another card processing account ever.
If you are dumb enough to get ripped off by AliBabba, file a fraud claim with your credit card company. You will get your money back and if the fraudulent company doesnt give the money back to the credit card company, the credit card company will cancel all further business dealings with them. That shuts the fraudsters down pretty quick.
There was a Judge Judy show on this where some mother daughter scammer were selling items on eBay and with some tiny print it stated, “this is only for a picture of the item.”
They had the damages and punitive damages she was allowed to give because they didn’t erase how much the camera weighed and the physical size. They thought they were clever.
It is likely he will get a refund and whomever perpetrated the scam will be sent to work with the Uyghurs. One thing one does not do is embarrass a good communist comrade.

Lol...
Buyers remorse...
Do not order stuff from China.
Temu. Ali express. You are ordering from enslaving commies.
It is crazy to order anything from a Chinese company. Their motto: “You don’t get what you pay for”.
Oh, I call that a dispute. Sorry, the terminology “chargeback” was confusing me. Yes, I agree with you that credit cards are very pro consumer.
Buyers dispute, sellers get a chargeback. It depends on what end of the transaction you’re on.
