That is a very abnormal disparity in the playoffs, even with the relatively small sample.
Unfortunately, the writer doesn't tell us how small a sample. There are 32 teams, a some of them have not even BEEN in 11 playoff games in any reasonable timeframe. (Cards, Panthers, Texans, Jaguars, current iteration of the Browns) Some teams have their 11+ playoff games over a ridiculously long span of years (e.g. Detroit, 29 years).
If KC getting 11 games in a row is a big deal, why is Miami's 18 straight games NOT a big deal? Simple. Don Shula was known as a disciplined coach who discouraged penalties and enforced discipline. He is also one of the greatest coaches of all time. Andy Reid is also one of the greatest coaches of all time.
Teams that lose tend to make more penalties late in a game, and the Chiefs get to play at home against lower seeds much of the time, setting the table for leads (not so much this year, but ver much so at the beginning of the run).

The whole country is on the edge of their seats wanting the KC Chiefs and Taylor Swift to win. This is football royalty. A monarchy if you will. The universe runs on rules of physics and it only makes sense this is what should happen. If, for some unknown reason, the Chiefs lose (God forbid!), expect earthquakes, hurricanes, forest fires and a meteor strike. We can’t let that happen. So buy the KC Chiefs merchandise. Buy, buy, buy. So Mudder Erf will be placated.
