Several people were injured in Philadelphia Sunday evening after a car ran into a crowd celebrating the Eagles win in the NFC Championship Game.
The Philadelphia Police Department announced on X that a car had collided with pedestrians. The driver of the vehicle was in custody.
“Does not appear intentional at this time,” the police said.
The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, The Associated Press reported.
The car reportedly struck a large crowd near the Center City area around 9:30 p.m. after the Eagles beat the Washington Commanders, 55-23, to advance to the Super Bowl.
While police said they do not believe the incident was intentional, witnesses told a local NBC affiliate that an argument preceded the incident.

intensely insane
I wonder if alcohol had anything to do with this . . . . .
Still hope they beat the Swifties.
There may be grounds for declaring Philly sports fans terrorists but I hope Trump stays away from that.
Trump did win Pennsylvania albeit on the Amish vote.
It seemed like last year she was unstoppable even in things just associated with her. Trump winning however proved she is not all that.
All the Swifties in the world won’t stop Saquon Barkley.
Anywhere else this would be “news.”
In Philly, after an Eagles win…people read this and think, “Yeah…that sounds right.”
I haven’t pulled for the eggles to win anything since Jaworski and company lost to the Raiders. The enemy of my enemy I guess...
If Saquon was there, he would have stopped the car like a blitzing linebacker, then pushed him back another 10 yards.
Yeah, it wasn’t intentional that he ran over those 10 other people wearing green. He just wanted to run over that one guy in the burgundy number 5 jersey
Or the refs
Nobody wants the Swifties to win.God will provide.
“car ran into a crowd celebrating“
Also known as Sunday in Philly
They could all be Repo Men.
You have to be an old guy like me to remember when the Flyers won the Stanley Cup in 1974...all 2 million people in Philly went insane and set a trolley car on fire in front of my house..my Dad went after the miscreants and tore them up
An NFL game aftermath without at least 3 deaths is considered a dull affair.
I wonder if they greased the light poles this time?

I think it is the responsibility of the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl to save Philadelphia from the destruction of the city by its celebrating fans. Beating the Eagles would actually be doing a favor for the City of Philadelphia.
