An Ohio woman died in her backyard as a result of the harsh winter weather while letting her dog outside, according to authorities.
Eugenia Michele Wadman, 43, was found dead in her backyard on Jan. 19 just before 11 a.m....wearing only “light pajamas” when the misfortune fell on Saturday night.
Wadman “appeared to have fallen and sustained injuries consistent with struggling and crawling on the snow-and-ice-covered yard,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement, according to the sheriff’s office.
A preliminary investigation indicates she may have injured herself and fallen onto the icy ground where she was immobilized due to the cold...

What the heck?? Poor lady! I wonder if she was drunk! Hope the dog is OK...
Another death due to climate change.
Condolences to this lady’s family.
However, it confirms the old Norwegian saying that, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, there’s only bad clothing.“
“she was immobilized due to the cold...”
Said nobody... Ever!
The cold does not immobilize you... Hypothermia will, but she must of been drunk or had a broken hip, gotten hypothermia and then died. If you’re within walking distance to your back door and you don’t make it... It wasn’t the cold... It was the booze of the drugs that you passed out on.
Sounds like piss poor planning.
In such weather a doggie pad is the wise choice.
I live in Wisconsin. it was below zero here. I walk out with my dog all the time, below zero without a coat or gloves in my slippers. I stay out for five minutes until I see my dog do her business.
Something happened to this women. A stroke or a she fell. Or her house was very far from neighbors. You can handle the cold for quite a while.
GLOBAL WARMING!!

Possible alcohol induced slip with concussion/knocked out otherwise maybe the dog did it.
I know several people who've taken the Jim Jones Jab and have brain "sparks" that led to them falling down.
Michelle Obama pic, whoa...is that a black widow spider costume or a hurricane flag?
In this case, technically speaking, it would be, "poor piss planning."
Oh, now that just makes my day...
He was stuck out there for several hours. Luckily it resulted ONLY
in a broken ankle and a case of pneumonia.
He was lucky, in my opinion - it could have been much worse.
Hikers in the backcountry, even/especially day hikers have long been advised to always carry with them the “10 Essentials”, items that SAR and rescue groups devised over the years to prevent tragic incidents similar to this.
A high output whistle - like high school football coaches or sadistic Drill Sergeants use is perfect. Lightweight, doesn’t take up much room, or even wear around the neck. Shouting or yelling doesn’t carry that far, and besides, the vocal cords will quickly wear out and lose voice anyway. 3 blasts on the whistle every so often will (eventually) get somebody’s attention. Worth thinking about anyway, even in “civilization”.
Never say “just for a minute”...
