This should stay on hold until the Greenlanders are for it. If not, forget it.

They are negotiating right now for the rights to build on Greenland right now - as part of their Belt and Road initiative. Every one is aware except some freepers.

“until the Greenlanders are for it”
I bet 50,000 checks for a million bucks each could probably get that done.
Lol.

no one said any thing about China invading
and part of that is the fact that the CCP has 4 new ice breakers, while we have on medium and one 1979 heavy now in refurbishment (think many years), and several other small ships.

You're saying that if China made a deal with Greenland, the US/NATO would NOT veto it.
I don't think that's what you meant to say, but that's what you said.

Yes its what I said: its deal between Greenland/Denmark and the Chinese - they already have a mining consortium active on the island which no one “vetoed”.

Well, but NATO wouldn't allow any military bases. Greenland has commitments to NATO.

All Chinese companies, all Chinese holdings, inside and outside of China, are military or can rapidly be converted, like the 2 ports of the Panama Canal. This is called Civilian-Military Fusion, a policy instituted by Xi Jinping several years ago.
