When it comes to erectile dysfunction (ED), men often explore various remedies to improve their sexual health. Among the many lifestyle factors that influence erectile function, diet plays a significant role.

One common and beloved beverage that has sparked curiosity is coffee. Whether it’s the rich aroma of your morning brew or the energizing boost, coffee has earned its place as a daily staple for millions worldwide.

But does it offer any benefits when it comes to erectile dysfunction? In this post, we’ll dive into the science behind coffee and its potential effects on ED, helping you make an informed decision about whether your cup of joe can do more than just wake you up.

A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that men who consumed moderate amounts of caffeine daily (around 85 to 170 milligrams, roughly equivalent to one to two cups of coffee) had a lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction compared to those who didn’t consume caffeine. This suggests that coffee’s ability to boost circulation may offer protective benefits against ED.

Wonder how it works for the good doctor?

It’s cheaper than Viagra and still gives him a handle to hang onto when he pees.

I like homemade coffee pops. Coffee, toothpick and an ice cube tray.

There was a time when no dinner was complete unless coffee was served at its completion. Ultimately people slept well.

If I have coffee or caffeine now after dinner, I can’t sleep well. I used to drink Pepsi right yp till 3 am when I went to bed and slept fine- now not so much.

Sometimes FreeRepublic feels like fourth grade.

Often, FreeRepublic is like a bunch of fourth graders having a conversation with old folks at the retirement home. E.g. "Hey Grandpa, coffee gives you a boner!" "You lazy kids! When I was your age I owned my own home and was married with two kids. We didn't have the time or the stupidity to worry about boners!"

No, and you’re wide awake while your #$#*@ is failing.

At least with alcohol, one has a plausible excuse.

As someone in my late 50’s who practically drinks an ocean freighter load of straight black coffee a day I would say it is of no consequence either way.
