Trump's threat against Moscow on Ukraine seen as an insulting false start by some in Russia

"Disrespectful", "insulting", and "ill-informed." Donald Trump's threats aimed at strong-arming Moscow into ending its war in Ukraine have been badly received by some politicians and nationalists in Russia who say his tactics bode ill for a deal.

-snip-

Influential war bloggers, read by millions of Russians and licenced by the authorities, expressed outrage.

One of them, Voenkor Kotonok, said Trump's statement was "insulting, arrogant and self-satisfied." Another, war correspondent Alexander Kots, speculated that the Middle East ceasefire had given Trump a misplaced sense of omnipotence.

"Russia is not the Gaza Strip. And starting a dialogue with ultimatums is not the most far-sighted move on the part of a leader claiming to be a peacemaker. Moscow will never agree to any deals dictated by blackmail and threats," Kots wrote.

Sergei Markov, a former Kremlin adviser, said Trump's actions so far suggested he would not be able to bring peace to Ukraine, while Vladimir Solovyov, a high-profile state media talk show host, said Trump's threats proved he was an enemy.

"Is that any way to talk to great Russia?," an angry Solovyov told his listeners.

Get over yourself. Putin is not affected by taunts.

People keep repeating things they hear from influeners when in reality they haven’t the faintest clue about the truth. It’s likeRussians seeing the US in movies/TV and thinking they know it. In my experience and travels I find Russians far more materialistic than average Americans. They are not shy about telling you what they want from you. Plastic surgery is even more popular in Moscow than it is in NYC or LA....

You imply that marcus is being paid by the State Department.

You do realize that it is now Trump’s State Department, don’t you?

I do not trust ANY "news" coming from/about Ukraine/Russia.

the largest hurdle to any kind of peace deal is the CIA. The Ukraine war is in reality US CIA vs Russia.

From all evidence available, the CIA is loaded with Bush/Cheney, Obama/Hillary, Biden puppeteers and has been lying to Trump and the rest of us, using the MSM and Social media control, just like it does everyone else in the world, and feeding Trump and the rest of us false, manipulated intel in order to stoke war and take their stuff,

its what they do, like how rattlesnakes bite and yellowjackets sting, the CIA stirs up war Regardless of how well intentioned the CIA/FBI is presented as, the CIA is just evil, cloaked as "National Security".

Until the CIA/FBI is disbanded or restructured, there will be no peace in Ukraine .

Its not worship full. I just trust the opinion and actions of someone of someone who has a track record of negotiations versus some person who has never done it.

the arrogance....lol

Many of the same Putinists were mad at me back in 2020 and 2021 when I was on FR exposing Fox News for their collaboration in The Steal and the resulting consequences of losing half their audience for helping put Dementia Joe in office.

Imagine that.

Most people will look at an article like that and just dismiss it as "more internet propaganda" and go on believing whatever they (and the war stoking machine) wants them to believe

One of the best tools of political mind control is to flood the information stream with false "conspiracy theories" so when a real conspiracy happens no one will believe it, it's just another conspiracy theory.

For Russia, Ukraine is Afghanistan 2.0.

The economy is tattered and many have become restless. This *may* lead to other regions trying to break away.

Hee hee.

It’s called reasserting dominance - a power move that previous occupants couldn’t manage, what with ‘toxic masculinity’ and all.

It’s an actual ‘reset’ button.

The Military Industrial Complex War Machine used to be able to just rely on manipulating the MSM, but because of the internet and the fact that the MSM has lost credibility with rational people who are able to process information properly they have to resort to things like "fact Checking"(like how a batter checks a swing) and Social Media censorship/shadow banning

They even had to cut Russia off from the internet because it kept repeating over and over it's true reason for pulling the plug on the CIA puppet Zelensky, and the truth and facts do not look good AT ALL for the US/EU, so they needed to cut off the flow of info about Russia's side of the story before the public perception turns against the ZIA/US/EU ( including Biden Crime Family looters )

My hope is the the Zeepers are contributing HUGELY to the Freeper donations , keep 'em coming and keep the Ukie Fan Club entertainment schtik flowing, (cue the drumroll)

Russia has banned many outside internet sites, including Youtube. It is very common knowledge. Maybe you should get your facts right before you write.

…And now I support long range missiles that can hit Moscow. Check my record I did not support this under the last administration. Putin has a legitimate off ramp. If he isn’t willing to take it then take Moscow.

I could go to a "Code Pink" website and read the same nonsense. It's amazing how many supposed "conservatives" have imbibed the Jane Fonda anti-American kool-aid.

In fact, the Soviet Union supported local Communist groups all over the world with money and arms to subvert their own governments, including West Germany and Italy. The CIA would never have been engaged or possibly even existed without Soviet aggression.

And Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 because Putin's subversion of Ukraine with his sock puppet Yanokovych didn't work and his stooge fled to Moscow earlier that year. Putin then used militias he funded and armed in Luhansk and Donetsk to the seize part of those oblasts and the Russian military directly in Crimea. In 2022, seeing the same Obamaite weaklings as in 2014 were back in power, he just decided to use direct force to destroy Ukraine as an independent state.

If Trump had remained President, a second Ukraine invasion would never have taken place.
