Went to a bar in downtown Frankfurt. The stairs went down a few floors. It was a converted bomb shelter. Order up a drink and feast on the free bread and lard. Not a joke.
That is about judgment, but the reason to not eat pigs, snails, crab, slugs, and fish that scrounge like catfish, is because they are scavengers. The first to eat a body dumped into the ocean are the crabs.
Peter was told all foods are acceptable- if you wish to avoid dirty animals and bottom feeders, then fine, but it is not a biblical commandment nor sin to eat them
Wow! My kind of inlaws! soudns liek they ate very well!
Was a ton better than the tasteless crap they fry them in today- tried soem the other day at mcd’s- NOPE! Still lousy
Yuo can’t do better than lard- duck fat is also a must for fryign especially potatoes- crisp em good in duck fat- oh my, soem good- we are able to buy soem from walmart, but it is expensive- best is to cook a duck and keep the fat drippings, and cook small potatoes in the bottom of the pan the duck is cooked in so the fat drips down onto them while they are cookin- wow! Good stuff!
Nope. Beef tallow.
Nope, but I do have Scottish ancestry on both sides. 31% according to Ancestry.com. The rest English, Irish and bit of German.
Our feral pigs would make quick work of a coyote. Much larger and meaner.
So, if I call someone a lard-ass, is that actually a compliment?
you’re going to the wrong grocery stores. Generic national/large regional one likely won’t but all of the grocery stores by me you can get it easy. I live in northern Chicagoland an ethnically diverse populous.
Yeah that was beef tallow.
My inlaws made up some beef tallow last year and sent it to us- g9nna cut some potatoes into thin slices and fry them today I think!
They do hunt wild pigs with dogs, course some dogs dont live to fight another day. It would be a fair fight I think- coyotes outnumbering their victim. But yeah, the pigs ain’t exactly defenseless for sure.
Well, I’m screwed. Messianic Christian. I eat kosher. Pork is a no-no.
Thx...maybe since it has been about 40 years since I last tried it, maybe it is time.
Exactly. I would never touch calf or pork liver. Totally different taste.
