I had a German Shepherd and a Lhaso Apso. I had to make sure the German Shepard was given attention first and to her satisfaction before I could give the Lhaso Apso attention.

My best buddy has two female German shepherds.
They are sisters and they both love me.
It gets interesting sometimes.

It’s a well known practice to favor the old dog over the newbie.
The old one cares, the newbie doesn’t (yet).
