We should make it a rule that when we’re being ‘catty’ on these Fashion Threads, that we have to confess to what we’re wearing, LOL!

I can’t remember the last time I wore heels. Or pantyhose.
Retired Life is Awesome. :)

My Mom (86!) still sews like a dream. She was Costume Mistress for our local Theater Troop for close to 40 years. She’s done so many creative costumes, but her favorites, too, were all the Black and White creations she got to design for, ‘My Fair Lady.’ Her costumes have been rented by lots of other theater groups, too. She’s a wiz!

Our family dog, Ginger, looked like a fox, so with a little bit of hair trimming and some make-up she played the Fox in MFL, too.

I always worked Stage Crew and Dad built the sets. I was a turtle in a children’s show one year. My one theatrical experience - I like it better behind stage. ;)

OMG!! I can so relate to this! My Mom did costumes too & she and both my sisters were in many shows, while I helped my Stage Manager Dad behind the scenes at local theater and then Bucks County Playhouse. I actually met my Hubby there, many moons ago, he was in South Pacific and our first kiss was behind the scenery :)
I did a couple shows, was a Shark in West Side Story and got to “pretend” spit at my twin sister, who was a Jet & did a few other chorus roles, but behind stage was much better for me!
I Love the Ginger story! Too cute!
