Lately I’ve been having 4 slices a day. Guess there’s no hope for me.

“* Eating just a quarter serving of processed red meat daily (equivalent to one slice of bacon) was linked to a 13% higher risk of dementia in a 43-year study of over 133,000 people”
Did anyone bother to check whether they also drank beer, ate Doritos, or smoked?
If not, did they assume that all these people one slice of bacon every day and nothing else? LOL.

In the meantime, don’t forget to get your covid booster, but we all know that is completely OK.

More communist propaganda. I think we’ll have BLT’s tonight. Eggs and bacon for breakfast tomorrow and ham for lunch.

While both types of red meat have been previously linked to conditions like Type 2 diabetes
No, high sugar and carbs can lead to diabetes.
To: jerod
Definitely worth eating LOTS of bacon. Without the nitrates/nitrites, without sugar.
Sugar is the poison, not fat. Add to the diet: grass-fed butter, pasture raised eggs.

Here we go again. It must be Bacon’s turn this month to be accused of bringing you just a shout away from complete neurologic breakdown. Next month it will be Egg’s turn, then Coffee, then Sugar, though not necessarily in that order.

My fav is Oscar Mayer pre-cooked Thick Cut.
Get it on sale at my Kroger.
Makes a quick club sandwich.
Chicken salad on the bottom layer and BLT on the top.
HMM, HMM, good eating.
For the record, many have called me crazy, but no one has called me demented.
To: Red Badger
I skimmed the article quickly but the study "appeared" to find a statistical
correlation, not causation. Its conclusions are useful for hypothesis generation and public health guidance but should not be taken as proof that processed meat definitively causes dementia.
I think I'll have some bacon and eggs for lunch.;-)
