Just moments before leaving office, President Joe Biden commuted the life sentence of Indigenous activist Leonard Peltier, who was convicted in the 1975 killings of two FBI agents.

Peltier, the so-called "activist" was a violent communist "revolutionary" who was part of the murder of two fbi agents via contact shots to the head following an extensive gun battle.

IIRC American Indians voted 65% for Trump.

A post on The Conservative Treehouse suggested recruiting the FBI agents from the generally conservative military instead of from the generally leftist colleges.

As I recall he ambushed the agents.

The talking points have already been distributed for this as evidenced by our local rag and the collection of the usual Marxists that leave comics. Apparently this Peltier guy is innocent and was framed by the FIB. “There is no evidence he killed those agents” they say.

So which is it stupi bootlicking Marxists? The FBI is pure and angelic when it comes to their attacks on all things Trump or they are evil gestapo thugs that frame marxist activists?

I wonder what the older FBI agents, both retired and active think of Biden commuting Peltier sentence and the current FBI toadies that support Biden.

“A post on The Conservative Treehouse suggested recruiting the FBI agents from the generally conservative military instead of from the generally leftist colleges.”

That is not believable at all considering they hire lawyers almost exclusively.

The folks at the CTH would have more credibility if they suggested disbanding the FBI in its entirety.

There was a time when I would be bothered by a U.S. president commuting the life sentence of an "activist" who was convicted of murdering two FBI agents.

After Ruby Ridge and Waco I stopped giving the FBI the benefit of the doubt in these matters.

After 2016 I consider the entire agency to be nothing more than a political/criminal organization from top to bottom.

THE END.

To me it seems the FBI does not really look for the brightest. Rather, they want a certain personality type that seeks conformity in groups and group identity, and will mold oneself to the organization and its very tight bureaucracy and culture.

But there can be two truths—the above, of which you listed and that Pelteir was as guilty as charged.

That policy was set by the cross dressing Edgar Hoover. Easier to mold mush minds from the Ivy League than hardened soldiers.

If Peltier was guilty as charged then he should have been prosecuted in a state court.

The LSAT selects for leftists.

I believe the shooting took place on reservation grounds which put it in federal jurisdiction.

If Peltier shot FBI agents today, he’d be a hero here.

The Federal Enclaves Act was passed in 1817 -- nearly a century before the FBI even existed.

It's also interesting that Peltier was apparently never charged for the crimes the FBI was allegedly investigating under federal jurisdiction at the time of the shooting.

Easy fix; fire everyone in FBI over first level supervisor. Promote and hire from without.

Seems like a finger in the eye of the Bureau, after four years of doing his political bidding like good sycophants. Even though it wasn’t really the vegetable in the Oval Office doing anything other than signing a -to him- blank form, those behind it show a nice sense of loyalty for political favors done.
