The Ohio State Buckeyes are national champions.
A season that appeared lost after a shocking 13-10 loss to Michigan on Nov. 30 ended in jubilation on Monday when the Buckeyes defeated Notre Dame 34-23 in the College Football Playoff championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

One more, then forever.
I’m sure he’s celebrating BIG tonight!
My wife has said something along those lines in the past, although in her case she stated "She would vote for the devil himself before voting for Hillary."
No contest. I liked QBn Leonard. He won’t get away with that running w/the bal in the pros.
Ever since ostensibly Catholic Notre Dame invited the pro abortion Obama to give the graduation address and conferred on this blood drenched man an honorary Doctor of Laws degree, Notre Dame has been cursed. There have been no national championships and their teams always lose the definitive games. Before they hire any new coaches or give anymore scholarships, they should make public, humble ammends and invite an exorcist to the campus.
I have to take ND over FSU, BYU, or Miami, but that’s about it.
I didn’t even realize the game was today, with the inauguration going on.
The BCS screwed up and didn’t take into account the game would take place on Inauguration Day.
I think the playoffs are too long. Get rid of the byes, it didn’t help the teams that got them, anyway.
As a resident of South Bend whose late Dad was an Ohio State fan, it was win-win-win all day.
❤️
And “Corch” Urban Meyer.
With Holland, MI as my hometown and Ann Arbor Concordia as college town (I played in the U of M jazz band in 1980), there is some conflict of allegiance in play. 😆
I didn’t have a dog in this fight since my team had already been eliminated, but I was really glad to see that Notre Dame made it interesting late in the game. The future looks bright for Coaches Day and Freeman!
Great game!
Good post. Will never forget that one!
hats off to the Buckeyes, from a guy from that state up north. thought they were rusting after UM loss but admitting that was a fluke. no doubt left in Ohio talent and guts, determination.
