And he was right!
It's NOT about your personal information or ID theft. It's about providing the Chinese a network of control. They plant malware and infiltrate your contacts as well.
NOTHING to do with free speech.
More support is coming look at the replies here
I dont think Americans support this ban at all . Beyond a few cranks and paid off Congressmen
The red scare no one is buying
DR made an excellent post the other night and I think may have won some people over with it
trump admittedly used tiktok during his presidential campaign...
trump extended the deadline for the tiktok ban...
open your mind...
Umm...Pompeo was the former Director of the CIA.
Trump decided not to bring him back to his 2nd Administration.
Pompeo is an absurdity and a buffoon
He wanted to murder Assange for example. A complete lunatic he is and a dangerous one at that
Should be in jail for that plot alone
We are at a near war with China.
Thus, accepting its spy and propaganda war machine called TikTok here in America is not only insane it’s an act of treason against America’s security.
China has banned America’s social networks within Chinese borders. But WE have to accept all of China’s neworks polluting our homeland. This is absolute humiliation.
This is what Trump once said about China : “They are raping America!”.
If TikTok is allowed to operate under communist CCP... then America has lost all sense of Americanism and dignity.
A horrible and dangerous mistake.
It puts America second, not first.
Again, why should we let communist foreign nations well-known for their anti-american stance, have free access to spy on us and do propaganda against us - while our own platforms are all systematically banned in China?
This goes far beyond American “censorship”. It’s also (at the very least) about respect and basic reciprocity.
Letting foreign military nations have free access to America while we have NON to theirs is simply inconceivable.
WHERE is the reciprocity? WHERE?
“ We are at a near war with China”
🤡😂
Hush Jackass.
Stick to your Ukie warmongering. 🐸
“They plant malware and infiltrate your contacts as well.”
EVERY mobile app and phone carrier out there is doing the very same thing and then SELLING it to anyone who wants it including CHINA, RUSSIA, IRAN, other RESELLERS... Anyone who will buy it!
Thats why we should ban all Websites/Apps from spying and tracking its users.
He gets it. This is about the users not the platform/app or even who owns it. The users are U.S. Citizens and Businesses with rights.
For these folks in THIS country it violates free speech, freedom of the press, and commercial free enterprise.
“Thats why we should ban all Websites/Apps from spying and tracking its users.”
Absolutely, ALL or NONE period...
we’re being tracked everywhere in today’s society...
there’s cameras everywhere...
today’s vehicles have satellite tracking...
everywhere you travel with your cellphone you’re being tracked...
open your mind...
“Thats why we should ban all Websites/Apps from spying and tracking its users.”

That logic is fundamentally flawed, and here’s why:
Imagine allowing China to establish a military base with 300,000 soldiers in the heart of Texas. If we were to follow your reasoning, the willingness to ban that base later on would mean we’d also have to shut down every single U.S. military base in America. Does that sound remotely rational to you? Of course not - it’s absurd.
The same principle applies here. You can’t equate a foreign-owned communist platform like TikTok, with clear ties to an adversarial government, to domestic platforms like Facebook or X. While we can and should hold American companies accountable for their practices, they operate within the framework of U.S. laws and oversight. TikTok, on the other hand, answers to a foreign power with very different interests and objectives.
Treating them as equivalent is not just misguided - it’s dangerously naive.
So you’re all for Communist spyware, eh?
I’d prefer that people were just less stupid and didn’t use risky and harmful things= =
Thanks for the reply. It seems kind of what I thought.
And I agree that I am tired of all the restrictive rules to protect those acting stupidly, and which hinder and supress my productivity.
I know someone on TicToc. She has to spend hours editing, it cost her thousands for what she needs to do her work on tictok. She has 17,000 followers and is lucky to make $6.00 ...six dollars..given in credits. I’m not sure of what ittakes to make “good money”, but my friend isn’t there yet.
“Just what info/data is CCP getting from tictoc?”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
TikTok IS China’s Trojan Horse inside America.
TikTok spyware is this:
(it goes to China’s Communist party)
Clipboard Access: The app has been found reading data copied to the clipboard, potentially collecting sensitive data like passwords, payment information, or messages.
Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Name, email address, phone number, and date of birth provided during account creation.
Location Data: Accesses GPS, IP addresses, and nearby Wi-Fi or cellular networks to track location.
Unique device identifiers like IMEI, MAC address, and SIM card serial number.
Behavioral Data:
Likes, shares, and comments.
Accesses your camera and microphone, potentially recording audio and video even when not actively in use.
Facial recognition data from video uploads, used for filters and effects.
Contacts and social connections... If granted access, the app can read your phone contacts and social media profiles, building detailed social graphs.
Keystroke patterns and text input... May collect data on how you type, which can reveal sensitive information like passwords or search habits.
More potential concerns...
Data Sharing: TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, is headquartered in China, where companies are required by law to comply with government data requests. This raises concerns about potential data access by the Chinese government.
TikTok collects extensive data to power its recommendation algorithm, creating detailed user profiles that could theoretically be used for disinformation campaigns or psychological profiling.
Lack of transparency about how data is processed or shared with third-party advertisers, partners, or governments.
Concerns that vulnerabilities in the app could allow it to act as a backdoor for hackers.
“That logic is fundamentally flawed.”
No it is not. If this were the case none of this would have even happened in the first place and we would not even be discussing it. There would have been absolutely no practical reason for the “TikTok” bill. the “spying” issue would have already been dealt with universally. Absolutely NO websites or apps should be secretly collecting and selling our data for ANY reason period. It should be legally considered pick pocketing and should be prosecuted as such.
They are already committing fraud and misrepresentation by claiming they only use “cookies” for a better user experience”. No, these are direct 3rd party connection cross scripts that are bidding, selling, and reselling your data happening in real time. That is not just a “cookie”. And they sell it to anyone who will give them top dollar, China, Russia, Iran, our government, the Global Corporations who are enslaving us...
If we are going to adulterate the internet even in the slightest way it needs to be in favor of the users not in favor of Megacorporations or the Government and it needs to be UNIVERSAL because they are ALL guilty of the very same crime...
