I know that was one of Trump’s campaign promises, but I fail to see what overall good such announcements are going to do.
No matter what Trump says, some groups of people will doubt if that is the actual, or full story. In particular the mysteries and apparent contractions surrounding JFKs assassination.

There's a legend, that every incoming president is taken aside by a dark-suited agent. Who shares with the new president footage of the John F. Kennedy assassination, of an angle that's never been shown to the public. Footage depicting what REALLY happened that day. The message that gets telegraphed: "we did it to JFK, and we can do it to you."

I don't know if that's true or not. Trump though strikes me as being someone who wouldn't be intimidated.

Will it ever be adequately explained why J. Edgar Hoover issued a memo on 11/29/1963 in which he mentions that “Mr. George Bush of the CIA” had provided a briefing on the reaction of anti-Castro Cubans to the JFK assassination? The official story is that is a “different George Bush” (i.e., not GHWB aka “Poppy: but some “other George Bush”... who later swore an affidavit that he gave no such briefing)? Will it ever be adequately explained what George HW Bush was doing in Dallas on 11/22/63 as mentioned in a different FBI memo?
