Looks like a dozen other flowers. These awful rules need to be rolled back. Who would know that something in their yard was endangered?

Yep. There’s no balance with these laws. The flower, weed, or snail trumps all. Perhaps some sort of “usefulness test” should be applied. We need the soybean and the cow. Roses are nice. But do we really need every obscure type of snail?
Species go extinct all the time on their own. It’s part of the cycle of nature. Should we save every species, everywhere just because?

Yea, it was not the flower itself, only the habitat? That would mean no one in that area could grow or build anything on their own property.
