but the Lahina fire lit a passion for citizen journalism .
If he is hiding it, he isn’t hiding it very well.
That little frisson of joy / dance he did during that press conference when he was talking about Building Back Better (Blackrock) made it pretty obvious to anyone with eyes to see, ears to hear and brains to understand what his plans are.
He wants an Olympic Park Tourist Trap like Calgary etc. the LA neighborhoods and businesses are gone along with those jobs.
kinda adds insult to injury by bringing the olympic torch to a torched area...

Cloud patterns directly over the LA fire zone on January 7th and 8th, the days the fires started and accelerated.
Alarming satellite captures reveal frequency transmission impacts on aerosol cloud canopies over the LA firestorm zone. “APOCALYPSE: Fire chief warns LA wildfire is worst case scenario” (Fox News). “Weather Whiplash Fueling LA’s Wildfire Could Make It Costliest in History” (Science Alert). For over a decade and a half Geoengineering Watch has warned of the coming firestorms, worse is yet to come. Climate disruption operations must be fully exposed and halted, that effort will take all of us.
People are going to do what I did in 1979.
Escape the Democrat tyrants.
Democrats elected by people with “No skin in the game”.
People with kids, that want a good life and freedom
for their children would never vote for
Modern Democrats.
The Hawaiian fire area is about 10% rebuilt after 18 months. LA may take 15 years at that rate. Going to miss the Olympics.
Elon will have a city on Mars before that.
Burn the most pristine real estate in the country (maybe the world) and ruin his career for a “makeover?”
WTF
Too many st00pits posting these days.

do you live in Hawaii ?
the reason i ask, is that there was at least 1 fire on Oahu iirc, and 3 or 4 other fires than Lahaina on Maui.
and im not sure which one you mean.
i dont know about the other fires. Lahaina is the only one i really followed.
It is s the Hereditary seat of Hawaiian Royalty.
The Hawaiian Capital more or less.
famous rulers are buried in Lahaina. Its a sacred place to them. And alot of them are losing their land through no fault of their own.
Just like l.a., ect.
i have followed Eric from day 1 of the Lahaina fire

Get in line California because Hawaii, Florida, and North Carolina queued up first.
The lawsuits are going to bankrupt a lot of people if not the state of California.
I think this one is going to go north of the Trillion dollar mark.
you know what would really be fun? force the Olympic committee to choose another site FAR, FAR AWAY then let the chips and/or ashes fall where they may.
perhaps you dont don’t really understand just how many stoopits there are in California politics. not qwapping you on that
I live in the foothills of CA, east of Sacramento.
Watched a drone flyover on youtube by Jesse G Wald. He was giving an update.
We sit on our deck and watch the plumes of smoke going up in the distance every year. Closest we have come to fire here is having helicopters and planes circling over our house as they make their water drops. If a fire does come our way, we are staying to fight. We have done everything we can it protect the house, but it still needs our help if the big event comes.
Do you have working fire hydrants?
When we built the house we were required to install a 2500 gal water tank hooked up to a fire hydrant we installed near the house. The hydrant had to have fire dept. hose fittings.
Over time we have added an additional 3500 gals of storage, an electric pump with 1” hose fittings, a gas powered pump with 1” hose fittings and 200’ of 1” hose. Things do need to be updated and added to though.
