But your point has merit otherwise in that . . . nobody is going to die if a storm comes thru and you’re absent power for a day or three or five.
Prepping is about staying alive. Not comfort, or at least that was the original idea.
Oh and then there was 1348 and the Black Plague. Attention is mostly Europe in the write ups, because people can’t read Chinese. The percentage wipe out would have been far more impressive just 150 yrs later when someone could bring it to the western hemisphere.
The quoted % totals were held down because the millions in the western hemisphere didn’t get it.
