I could not help thinking ,somewhat ironically.
How social media has allowed people like this to be celebrated and even worshipped because they write books. yet in reality they are monsters.
While millions of average parents devotes themselves to their children and are rewarded by being ignored by them when they grow up
I think sometimes, there are stages where you just have to settle back and be a “Hallmark” grandparent, assuming there are grandchildren. Perhaps , as you would reflect back, your own parents may have perceived some of the things you did in a similar light. Then, hope, with time and experience, your children will rediscover those old relationships with you as a long-lost treasure.
