Well, then it should be all the more less alarming that he supposed that it might not be his last press conference. Why did he say goodbye on a Monday, instead of a Friday? I don’t know. Does he normally give briefings on Monday only? Certainly it is normal to give additional briefings when events require it.

If Obama had taken the oath that morning in front of a JP in Falls Church VA (using the correct text) Roberts would not have had to do anything.
