And the Lions go down! Huge upset.
I'm looking forward to it.
Lots of experts had them as a Super Bowl participant.
I'm not really shocked they lost. It's the playoffs and upsets happen. But they lost so badly. Wow.
When Hutchinson went down, I thought right there, “There Goes The Super Bowl.”
But Hutchinson would not have been responsible for four turnovers.
I think the Lions panicked when they saw Washington go through their defense like a hot knife through butter, and became too anxious to score quickly.
I still think the window is open, but they really need to beef up their defense in the off-season. The offense is fine, they got almost 500 yards of offense.
Over the past two seasons, mobile quarterbacks have decimated the Lions defense: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Daniels have had field days against their defense. That’s what needs to be figured out.
They don’t even need to beef up the defense, they just need them to not get hurt. 18 defensive players wound up on the IR. That’s almost 2 full units of defensive starters. So there were a lot of 3rd and 4th stringers out there, and maybe even some randos pulled to stands honestly. Sure they held it together most of the season but eventually it has to catch up to a team. So hopefully guys come back and stay healthy and they’ll be good.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and the Lions weakest link got really weak at the end.
I’ve noticed that this year in both the college and NFL playoffs, the teams that got byes have only won once, and that was the Chiefs yesterday. Now there are so many games, that regular season records no longer really reflect how strong a team is by the time the post-season happens.
Also consider this: The three NFC North Playoff teams combined were 29-4 against teams outside the division.
They went 0-3 in the playoffs.
I don’t know what’s making me more nervous, the Eagles game or the Rally & Inauguration for Trump (I’m so worried about him, so many people there and I don’t trust the Security).
Right now I’m sitting in my bedroom, trying not to hear the game ...
Watching the Philly game in the snow, I am still mad the Lions decided to build an indoor stadium. Maybe if it was outdoors we might have a real homefield advatage.
Yeah. Domes are wrong. Certainly we’re seeing what happens to dome teams in the snow. Plus of course snow games are awesome. It’s the only way I like snow, on my TV with people playing football in it.
It was just a matter of time!
Yep, New Years Eve 1988, almost zero visibility
The Rams DEFENSE is about to give Stafford a chance to win this game.
I think I’m going to throw up.
I’ll join you — as soon as I saw that 2nd missed extra point...
Phew!
“that’s my Santa”
