Some of these mysterious ‘drones’ are indeed UFOs and should be taken seriously

For 17 nights in late 2023, for example, between one and two dozen brightly-lit objects flew at any one time over Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Beyond forcing the cancellation of nighttime training missions and the transfer of highly advanced fighter jets to another base, the incidents left the military so perplexed that it tasked a special NASA aircraft equipped with sophisticated cameras to investigate the objects.

...

Somehow, despite nightly incursions stretching over weeks, no verified imagery of the “drones” has emerged beyond a video showing numerous blinking lights in the sky. According to Glen VanHerck, the recently retired commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command, “our most advanced” aircraft attempted to identify the objects with “extremely limited results.”

...

Gen. Mark Kelly, a decorated Air Force pilot and the commander of Air Combat Command, observed the incursions personally, likening the brightly illuminated objects moving across the night sky to a science fiction film: “Close Encounters at Langley.”

...

Would an adversary expose its ultra-stealthy technology so dramatically and consistently in full view of the U.S. military? If so, to what end?

What kind of craft, despite displaying bright flashing lights and flying in formation, can operate with complete impunity — avoiding radar and visual detection while resisting counter-drone technology — above a key military base?

Alarmingly, identical incursions occurred for several nights in November over sensitive American military bases in the U.K. According to witnesses, dozens of brightly-lit objects “hovered” and exhibited extreme performance characteristics while evading detection and multiple advanced counter-drone systems. Notably, the incidents began over RAF Lakenheath, which was the site of one of the most puzzling historical UFO incidents. The base is also slated to host U.S. nuclear weapons once again, raising an array of urgent national security concerns.

Beings that advanced/superior would have no reason whatsoever to avoid contact or remain elusive.

I can think of several reasons, though these are purely speculative and lack concrete evidence:

  1. Observation Without Disturbance: If they are studying us as naturalists observe animals in their natural habitats, making contact would disrupt the very behaviors they aim to study. For instance, anthropologists avoid influencing the cultures they observe to preserve authenticity. Similarly, aliens might avoid interference to maintain the integrity of their observations.

  2. Harvesting Without Detection: It’s possible they are extracting something from us that would be altered or lost if we became aware of their presence. For instance, from a Biblical perspective, they could be malevolent entities (e.g., demons) harvesting intangible aspects of humanity, such as souls or consciousness. Awareness of their presence might provoke defensive measures, such as seeking divine protection or altering the "resource" they exploit.

  3. Communication Barriers: Their level of advancement might make communication inherently challenging. For example, we can observe ants or termites, but meaningful interaction with them is practically impossible because of the vast differences in cognition and perception. Similarly, alien contact might be hindered by a gulf in understanding or technological compatibility.

  4. Universal Laws or Oversight: There may be universal laws or ethical guidelines that prevent direct interference with developing civilizations. If such laws exist, these beings might be violating them by interacting with us in any capacity and therefore wish to avoid detection. They may fear enforcement by higher entities or "overseers" who would punish them for breaking these cosmic rules.

Thanks for the reply and explanatory scenarios. I’m a skeptic but respect how you have thought through the matter in a logical way.

That said, we cannot dismiss the possibility that, rather than a gradual ‘reveal’, they might just show up one day like the explorers did when they arrived in the New World. After all, might be time to build some new megaliths. The old ones are looking kind of shabby. ;)

We don’t hide from the lesser creatures on our planet.

First, we do see those "things", whatever they are. Such has been the case for many years.
Second, we don't try to talk with or set up trade agreements with the lesser creatures.

So, there is no real difference between us and a possible them in that regard.

If you identify it as a UFO that makes it an FO.

Nay, it becomes an IFO.

I didn’t mean to imply that I think any one of those scenarios is real. 😉

I just enjoy exploring mysteries as the evidence—whether circumstantial, anecdotal, or based on logical constructs—gradually unfolds.

Even if some non-human being shows up one morning and introduces itself, I’d still hesitate to trust my eyes until I could rigorously test what I’m seeing.

So, in that sense, I guess I’m pretty skeptical too.

Here are some more speculative possibilities:

  1. Lack of Interest: They may simply not find us interesting or relevant enough to warrant contact. Advanced beings could view humanity the way we view microbes—aware of their existence but uninterested in engaging due to the lack of meaningful value or challenge.

  2. Cultural or Philosophical Reasons: Their culture or philosophy might emphasize non-interference as a moral or existential imperative. They may believe that allowing civilizations to evolve naturally is essential to their growth and development, similar to a "prime directive" in fictional contexts like Star Trek.

  3. Fear of Hostility or Contamination: They might avoid us out of self-preservation, fearing that contact could provoke hostility or that we might unknowingly carry biological or informational "contaminants" (e.g., ideas, viruses, or behaviors) that could harm them. Conversely, they may fear contaminating us with their advanced technology or culture.

  4. Temporal or Dimensional Constraints: They might not exist within our understanding of time, space, or dimensions. If their perception of reality is entirely different from ours, meaningful contact might be either unnecessary or physically impossible.

  5. They’re Already Here: They might already be interacting with us in ways that are subtle or unrecognizable. For instance, they could influence humanity indirectly through ideas, behaviors, or phenomena we interpret differently (e.g., myths, religious experiences, or unexplained phenomena).

  6. Testing or Conditioning: They might be deliberately remaining elusive as part of a broader plan to test or condition us. By observing how we respond to unexplained phenomena or rumors of their existence, they might be gauging our readiness for contact or guiding our development subtly.

  7. Resource Constraints: Even highly advanced beings might have limits to their resources or energy. Initiating and maintaining contact with an entirely different species could be an inefficient use of their energy, particularly if they have more pressing priorities.

  8. Cosmic Scale Priorities: They might be engaged in activities of such complexity and scale (e.g., managing star systems, harnessing black holes, or creating universes) that humanity is trivial by comparison, akin to how we might prioritize space exploration over detailed interaction with single-celled organisms on Earth.

Each of these reasons underscores the profound uncertainty about how beings far more advanced than us might think or behave, leaving room for endless possibilities.

And if a Biden is at the helm, it’s an FU.;-)

I’m just glad the aliens haven’t mastered “gain of function” germ warfare technology. We’d be in trouble then ...
