In their infinite wisdom, LA county moved millions in funding for fire rescue to the homeless.....who knows who got their beak wet when that happened.

The $$ was diverted to “help the homeless” - homelessness has increased during Karen Bass’s reign:

“LA budgeted $837 million for the firefighters in fiscal year 2023-2024 — which was shockingly 65% of the $1.3 billion slated for the homeless, according to Fox News.

A city comptroller study found that nearly half of that funding went unused, according to the outlet.”

Karen Bass has already said she plans on running in 2026 for reelection. Wouldn’t surprise me if the very ones she burned out of their homes due to her incompetence fund raise for her.

LA’s fire chief Kristin Crowley told Jake Tapper on CNN: ‘Over the last 3 years, we have been clear that the fire department needs help.’

She added that she has emphasized how ‘understaffed, under-resourced, and underfunded the LAFD is’, adding: ‘I rang the bell that these additional cuts could be very very devastating for our ability to provide public safety.’
