Something yet to be found about redder light being seen by the eye helps prevent overactive blood clotting. Blind mice did not get the benefit.

In humans, blue light filtering helped reduce clotting, seemingly by removing light that encourages clotting.

It seems red lighting, with less or no blue light, reduces clotting.

If you want to get a lot of red light naturally, the light at sunrise and sunset is predominately red light. :)

Another reason to ban those bright white and bluish headlights.

Yet there's other things associated with red lights could affect the heart and body worse...

Some thing has bothered me for awhile in articles like this one. “had nearly five times fewer clots” How can you have 5x fewer; I can understand 1/5 as many, but 5 time fewer? Can someone show me the math to goes along the thought of so many times fewer?

Without proposing a possible biological mechanism for this “phenomenon”, this observation is meaningless. Most likely, published to get more grant money.

I have an infrared long wave length pad. I use it like a heating pad. I love it. Sore and aching muscles, swelling, all respond very positively to it. I’ve had it for two years.

I even wrap it around my head to treat my Miniere’s Disease as it relives the pressure and inflammation in my ear that cause the sudden attacks of vertigo.

Odd side effect though, my hair has gotten thicker and grows a lot faster now. I’m 62 and have a full head of hair that gets me plenty of compliments.

I love my infrared light pad!

Amazon.com. I purchased the BestQool 18 inch pad. There are plenty of articles and videos on-line regarding the benefits of the infrared light therapy. I can tell you from my personal experience, it was well worth the money for me.

Thank you! I’ve been interested in red light therapy for quite a while, but couldn’t decide what device I should try.
