He did the emotionally satisfying thing. But women break more easily than men. Body slamming her could have given her a concussion or worse. He is a lucky man if she only had the wind knocked out of her.

In terms of reaction, I could see grabbing her and twisting her arm behind her until she calmed down. They key thing is nothing that could break something for real or permanently.

Not sure if the cops are looking for this guy. If they are, they probably won’t be high-fiving him.
