I agree with what you are saying, but there are responsibilities that come with living in a country. If you don’t want a country to protect, you can always just roll over for any invaders. We joke France does this.
All credible options need to be used when your country is invaded, in my humble opinion. I would also expect a country to allow all of its citizens to own guns for self protection and to help the country.

Trump said his position was ending the war immediately upon taking office. Starting to draft, train and deploy 18 to 25 year olds doesnt sound even remotely like Trump’s pre-election position.
