Two old retired folks here.
We use about 1,500 gallons per month.
(less than 20,000 gallons per year)

I probably haven’t used 232,000 gallons during the last 20 plus years, I monitor that sort of thing.

I just added up all of 2014, January through December, 7900 gallons.

You’re exactly right. That’s about 650 gallons per day. For perspective that’s a 9 person hot tub/spa. For an estate, that’s a trivial amount in fairness. Might even be within the margin of error of the water meter. Lots of (D) run cities have water meter issues.
