The bullying of Kelaia Turner was so bad that, at one point, even her glamorous teacher allegedly joined in — driving the schoolgirl closer to taking her own life.
That's a claim at the heart of a shocking lawsuit against Olivia Grace Bennett and her colleagues at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School in Greenville, South Carolina.
Kelaia, then 12, faced merciless bullying from five classmates, who called her 'roach,' and 'a man' and physically attacked her, the suit alleges.
Rather than stopping the bullies, Bennett, 26, was allegedly 'complicit,' pointing at the abused student as her classmates jeered.
In 2023, the tormented girl tried to kill herself — a failed attempt that left her with brain damage and requiring round-the-clock care.
Her devastated mom, Ty Turner, and other family members are suing the school district, Bennet, and seven other educators for failing to answer their frantic calls for help.
'They used to teach us, 'Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me',' the mom told WYF44.
'Unfortunately, words do hurt.'

That is a girl.
“That’s the price you pay for having such glamorous teachers.”
I hope they get rich. I really do. What a shame for all of us.
Sad, for sure.
The teacher should be fired and then be arrested.
A prison sentence of 20 years would be fair.
“Sticks and stones can break my bones
But whips and chains excite me.” ANON.
Love your spirit! Yes, I too would never allow my child to be bullied or abused without putting up a huge stink. I only had one child and when she was young I was a mama bear for sure. Thankfully it didn’t come up often because she, unlike her mom, was a social butterfly.
I think they should be put away for life. What kind of a monster takes pictures of a little girl driven to suicide in the ICU, after they treated her like garbage? Little sociopaths, lock them up and throw away the key.
Wasn’t the saying, sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me?
“Wasn’t the saying, sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me”
Yes. That is a saying.
Probably started by smart, creative or different people trying to cope with moronic bullies trying to make themselves feel better about their lack of intelligence.
“Trump has been bullied by Alvin Bragg and Jack Smith and Fani Willis and Juan Merchan. But he’s not attempting suicide. Fight Fight Fight.”
Trump is not a 12 year old child.
That and Trump has a mouth like a cannon, he’s always shooting it off. He can take down his bullies in one X tweet.

I agree
save Ferris and no name given help me out here but even the Bible says many thing about gossiping about people and how destructive the tongue can be?It's late and I can't think of the Bible verses.
That scene never fails to make me laugh - she let them have it!
James 3:7-8
21st Century King James Version
7 For every kind of beast and bird and serpent and thing in the sea is tamed, and hath been tamed, by mankind.
8 But the tongue can no man tame;
it is an unruly evil,
full of deadly poison.

I experienced such a person a couple of weeks ago - the Lord rebuke him - what the Lord has done to some of my enemies......
(who had no reason to be my enemy at all) - still, Satan attacks using his goats.
Evil, just evil!
I was bullied terribly by a big boy in my neighborhood. He pushed me around. Took my lunch money. Punched me in the stomach. I complained to my father who said you have to handle son. So one day at the ballfield I hit him in back of the head with a baseball bat when he wasn’t looking. The bullying stopped. I met him at our 50th high school reunion and we shared a beer. He said it was great growing up together.
I’m skeptical about the teacher being involved. Greenville is hippie heaven in SC. No white woman would allow a black girl to be bullied. Sounds like the family is going after deep pockets.
