Quinshon Judkins ran for two touchdowns before Jack Sawyer forced a fumble by his former roommate that he returned 83 yards for a score with 2:13 left as Ohio State beat Texas 28-14 in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night to advance to a shot for their sixth national title.

The Buckeyes (13-2) got the semifinal victory in the same stadium where 10 years ago they were champions in the debut of the College Football Playoff as a four-team format. Now they have the opportunity to be the winner again in the debut of the expanded 12-team field.

I think that’s coming. The transfer portal has made things difficult for coaches to keep their recruits intact, and NIL is too big a carrot to dangle in front of a kid.

I think eventually we’ll see conferences go away and they will just set up divisions, like the NFL.

The 2nd down play call against a speedy athletic secondary and linebacking crews (Mind you in a condensed field of play by the goal-line) was one of the worst I have seen. A horizontal handoff 6 yards behind the line a scrimmage. You need to run either directly off or in-between the tackles. Heck a safe play action roll out causing an incompletion would have been more productive than that awful design in that spot of the field.

I didn’t. Even after Sawyer scored, I figured Texas would be able to get another chance. It wasn’t until Downs made that interception with around 2 minutes left that I was ready to celebrate.

I am super excited but I am traveling with a UGA Bulldog fan and this will be my first game this season away from my Buckeye home. Seeing PDJT being sworn in and we are supposed to attend one of the Galas that night. I need all of to the support to not go crazy. Wouldn’t be great if PDJT is sworn in and the Buckeyes win the National Championship at the same time. It has been 10 years.

I don’t think the kids and the coaches are throwing games. I do think big money from boosters or Vegas can buy refs. I hate to think that way, but I do.

Here’s the irony of the Sawyer play- everyone will talk about the scoop and score for an eternity but the play he made the snap prior on 3rd down was just as important if not more so.

If you watched he stunted to the inside, beat the guard and got up to deflect the pass. Had he not done so Igbinosun would’ve surely been called for PI, giving UT another set of downs.
