I have read estimates ranging from $50 billion to over $150 Billion depending on the source. I don’t recall what Katrina was. The mainsteam media is of course worthless in assessing blame and where it should really lie because they are a part of it.

It's burning the mandeville canyon areas, basically topping the ridgeline between the santa monica/l.a. side and the san fernando vally.
It was moving to the north east, which would blow over the ridge. The helicoptors are picking up water from encino reservoir

Is the West Hills fire you site the same as the Kenneth Fire? Or is a new one....I cannot find any new fires listed on “CalFire”...The Granada Hills (Archer) fire has been controlled at 19 acres according to LAFD alerts.
What fire is causing evacuation alerts up to Ventura Blvd?
