Wind-fuelled wildfires have torn through the greater Los Angeles area, including neighbourhoods that are home to the Hollywood elite.
Parts of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive down to the famed Hollywood Boulevard had been placed in the mandatory evacuation zone. The fires have also affected the coming nominations announcement for the Academy Awards, which were supposed to be on January 17 but have now been pushed to January 19.
Many celebrities who live in the area have posted on social media about the state of their homes. Here are some who have shared updates about their homes.

“Shelley Long appeared to be in good spirits during a recent stroll in Los Angeles.
The 75-year-old actress, better known as Diane Chambers on the iconic sitcom Cheers, walked a small white dog with an unidentified male companion on Nov. 20.
Long left Cheers after five seasons on the long-running series, telling The Montreal Gazette at the time that the decision wasn’t an easy one.
“It was a very difficult choice to make. We have done some really terrific work at Cheers, but I’ve decided to give priority to my family and my newly established film production company in connection with Disney Productions,” the actress said.” Excerpt-with more photos at site
