Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are two lucky Hollywood stars ... 'cause both of their houses appear unscathed while the rest of their neighborhoods burn around them.
TMZ has obtained photos and video of the two properties ... showing Hanks' cliffside home and Spielberg's sprawling, wooded estate still standing.
Check out the clip ... the house just above Hanks' went up in flames -- with smoke still wafting in the air -- while Tom's pad stands without even a speck of ash on it.
It's quite the coincidence that these two houses have survived the blaze while so many other celebs have lost their homes ... given Spielberg and Hanks are frequent collaborators and close friends.

Or you have your own private research that is filled surreptitiously with rain water.
Or you have your own private reserve that is filled surreptitiously with rain water.
Probably don’t share any political commonality with Stephen Spielberg. However have noted in almost all his films he has shown the highest regard and respect for American soldiers and what they have done.
Could someone please post the picture of the leadership of the LA fire department? The pic with the 3 women on it?
Thank you
Well, I suggest they both donate their homes to all the neighbors who lost theirs, talk the talk, walk the walk.
“I know as a Christian that is wrong,”

Who sold you that bill of bad goods???
Never, ever, have we been instructed to feel sorry for those who dabble in evil and gain earthly goods.
NEVER.
What we are told is to not to CELEBRATE it.
There is such a distinction between the two statements.
And so many Christians undermine the True Faith when they go off in that direction.
Who to feel sorry for?
Innocents killed under those evil doers...and those innocents would be:
1. Children who could not vote for their own safety.
2. Adults who, not of their own fault, are depending upon other for their care.
3. Animals who were not provided good stewardship. This would NOT be the ‘smelts,’ excuse, mind you. Animal abuse is the issue here.
4. Adults who voted for sensible, thinking, honest people who wish to protect the American citizen and or the American political process with which we have been blessed.
5. Adults who do not have the mental or physical capacity to vote for sensible, thinking, honest people who wish to protect the American ceitizen and or the American political process with which we have been blessed.
Who am I opposed to feeling sorry for?
1. Liberals.
2. Weak minded Conservatives who voted for evil out of wishing to gain something for themselves.
3. Illegals who are in this country as by their very actions they have shown they are only to able and willing to violate American laws.
4. Children who are illegals: A subgroup because while being addressed as being ‘carried’ into this country, I will not allow feelings to excuse any action caused by adults.
The list is pretty clear and the reasonings are easy to understand.
I was so far Liberal at a time in my life that Hillary Clinton would have been a Conservative in my book.
Don’t ask. You really , REALLY wouldn’t want to know....
It’s why I think in black and white in this issue.
With sin and all it’s implications, causations, and everything in between, there’s got to be an understanding.
Sure you can. Add a little tonic water if you prefer and you'll warm up to them after a few.
Here is the big tragedy of this event. Almost every home in this area has a swimming pool filled with water- usually a pretty big one.
A very high volume gasoline powered water pump that uses a fire hose sized hose called a trash pump costs about $500 -$1000 at harbor freight.
I bought one to empty a flooded retention pit about 20 ft wide by 40 feet long and 2.5 feet deep. This is less water than your typical pool.
The water flow was similar to a fire hose in volume and it took over 12 hours to drain the water out of the retention pit.
If every home in Palisades had went to Harbor Freight and bought one of these pumps with a couple hundred feet of hose and used their pool water to wet their house and fight any fire early there is a good chance the wild fire never would have gotten out of control in that area.
Have a few friends who live in Palisades and I did a real hard sell to convince them to buy the pumps for their pools after a family member narrowly escaped being burned to death in the last series of wild fires in the LA hills and Santa Barbara.
Heck, I even offered to buy the pumps for them they were so cheap.
No takers. They thought I was kind of crazy. Should have bought them a few anyway.
Kind of heartbroken on this one.
Probably better building materials and fire suppression systems.
Being rich means you can spend more to build and maintain your homes.
OH. One more thought.
We ARE told to not celebrate the destruction to those who wish to cause evil, OR the LORD God will turn His eyes (Justice) away from them.
Personally, I don’t wish people death. I would rather they become believers in the Salvation of Jesus Christ.
I can willingly, and cheerfully wish they be placed in situations where they no longer can cause evil to be done to others.
The rest is in the LORD God’s hands.
I’m probably going to be banned because of my strong views.
Guess they will not need to get one of those heated tents the folks in western NC are still living in.
Do they have blue roofs?
Hanks’ place looks Soviet block, ha!
Spielberg’s, a very careless non woke resemblance to a certain evil fascist compound in FL
I liked Hanks in “Bachelor Party”.
Because like the Kardashians, these celebrities hire their own fire dept in order to protect their homes
Water cisterns. Routine clearing of debris. Sprinkler systems tuned for misting. Easy access to roof. Temperature sensors for structure and surfaces.
I can’t stand that guy
Blue roofs?
