Russia is closely monitoring Donald Trump’s territorial claims to Greenland, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said, after the US president-elect refused to rule out the possibility of using military force to acquire the Danish territory.
“We are following this rather dramatic development closely. Thankfully, for now, it remains at the level of statements,” Peskov told a news conference in Moscow on Thursday.

“The Arctic zone is an area of our national and strategic interests. We are present in the Arctic and will continue to be. Maintaining peace and stability in the region is paramount, and we are open to cooperation with all nations to achieve this goal,” he noted.
Peskov also criticised European leaders’ response to Trump’s comments. “Europe reacts very timidly – it is clear they are hesitant to challenge Trump’s words,” he said.

Trump will say to Putin - you can have Ukraine and Baltics. We take Greenland.

Russia is afraid of President Trump.

Putin is still trying to conquer bombed out Ukrainian fields and villages five miles west of Donetsk after 3 years of military ineptitude. lol!
And Denmark has already confirmed that Greenland is entitled to self determination on it's future.
Greenland already has a secession movement that draws popular support and the main hangup is the practical of who they team up once they separate from Denmark.
The fact that the EU has chimed in to arrogantly and incorrectly assert that they “own” Greenland is not making them popular with the Greenlanders. Trump may just surprise on this one.
That’s why Russia is panicking already.
Are you kidding? Trump isn't going to give the Baltics to anyone, and Greenland isn't Putin's to give.
But it's Trump's to take?
Trump will make a deal: Putin gets part of Ukraine, we get Greeenland with no crap from him.
