From Taylor Swift to Nicole Kidman, many high-profile female celebrities earn more than their partners.
Their partners - Travis Kelce and Keith Urban - seem fairly happy with their setups, but a new study has warned that the same isn't true across the board.
If you truly want a happy life, scientists from the University of Durham say it's better for the male partner to be the higher earner.

“Wealthy wife, unhappy life: Men are sadder when their wives earn more than them, study finds”
I got a feeling, so are the wives.
I don’t think a woman respects a man that makes substantially less than she.
Most women still have an innate (genetic?) sense of a man being their protectors and provider,
I guess my wife is not like other women in that regard. For a number of years of our marriage she earn more than I did. But she wanted nothing to do with handling the money she just liked making it. Anyway after 48 years we still seem to be getting along okay LOL
If you’re involved with a woman who insists on throwing her weight around, you should empower yourself enough to be able to make a clean break, and even if you have nothing to hide, it’s best to cover your tracks on your way to a better love life with somebody else.
If the man earns $100,000 and the woman $150,000 it is probably fine. But if the man earns either nothing or $20,000 while the woman earns the same $150,000 it is probably going to be an issue.
The problem isn’t the man earning less it is him earning nothing or next to nothing and the woman basically paying for everything.
Tom Brady’s ex-wife earned more than he did.
A man prefers to date a secretary than a boss.
Journalists don’t bother to proof read.
Nonsense! Much was gained from observing these couples in 2031! :)
“it’s better for the male partner to be the higher earner”
I think the higher earning woman would be resentful for having to carry the financial load and lord it over her emasculated lower paid husband. She would make him feel worthless and inferior. Most likely the lower earning husband would have a problem with sexual performance so she has an affair with the pool boy. It is a hopeless marriage doomed to failure.
“I have NO PROBLEM that the wife makes more!! :)
We live very nicely.
BUT, she is a traditionalist. American of Italian descent”

My wife is of German decent, but same, she’s conservative, and traditional, we get along just fine!
The intellectually and morally impaired love to ignore biology and inherent biological forces. The stupid follow them like lemmings.
I've always made sure I got it in writing before I did the dirty. :^)
Also, rich celebrities are 99% of the time complete *******s regardless of gender and should A) never be listened to and B) avoided like the plague.
It shouldn’t come up as long as both are contributing what they can to the family. I always earned more than my wife but I never threw it in her face. I just contributed more financially. She made up for it in other ways and I appreciated her for that. I lost her to cancer 4 years ago this coming February. I wouldn’t trade her memory for the world. I was lucky to have such an understanding wife. We worked well together. I think it was because we met each other at 19 years old. We kind of grew up together.
It simply boils down to being equally yoked.

Traditional roles were established 2,000+ years ago. It makes sense that if those roles were respected everyone would be happier.
