so that’s why the first tomatoes weren’t used in salads. cave wall pictographs have proven beyond doubt that mammoth meat really sucked until the first tomatoes discovered were made into barbecue sauce. once the sauce was perfected it was bye bye to mammoths and also led to the tasty “brontosauris burgers” drawn in cave pictographs around the world!
All those cave drawings of salads prove that, right?
Yes, I hate that old saw from Leftards...Man is the only animal that murders. Bullcrap. Chimps do it a lot.
That must be why on cave walls they made all those paintings of acorns, cereals and aquatic plants. .... oh wait. It was nothing but people hunting.
But thanks for playing.
I’m sorry...I think it is simple carbs turn to sugar. I’m getting old and make mistakes of memory
Genesis 4 talks about Abel bringing the fat portions of his flock as an offering to the Lord. So at last as far back as Adam and Eve’s kids, meat eating was a thing. But maybe Adam and Eve were just vegetarians, certainly during the early portion of their lives while in the Garden of Eden.
Its difficult to source good Caveman these days.
I also find their meat chewy.
Cavewomen is much more preferable to my taste.
Absolutely! They had meat when they could get it.
“During their analysis, the researchers discovered starch grains approximately 780,000 years old on the basalt tools.”
At one site, they found evidence of grains being ground on a few tools. A couple of questions;
1) Carbon 14 can work back to 50,000 years. How did they date something back 780,000 years?
2) How does this speak to it being their central food source? It could easily be one band taking advantage of one plant based source in that one location.
3) The purpose of those diets, Caveman, Keto, Carnivore etc is associated with health. What was the lifespan of this acorn and weed eating cavemen?
and any student of the Bible would point out what was commanded be eaten at passover. it wasn’t salad.
Funny, I have never seen a cave painting of a salad.
They should have eaten bugs!
How do they know it wasn’t for battering their meat?..........Caveman fried steak!............
That is a perfect refutation of a ridiculous theory with wit. Great comment.
I think they ate what they could get. It’s easier to gather fruit, nuts and vegetables than it is to hunt. I imagine that the hunt was a big event, and everybody feasted. Wondering if the drawings on cave walls were about hunting.
The specialty of bipedal humans in Africa was running down game animals. Not like a cheetah, but just a relentless all day pursuit. A human can run down an antelope given the whole day.
The 4 legged animals eventually collapse in exhaustion and then were speared.
Those Kenyan Marathon and Copper Canyon Indian runners aren’t just a coincidence.
I have watched all the seasons of the show “ALONE”.
Where they drop ten people off at some remote location and the last one there wins.
The first couple seasons the people who were good at foraging won. Finally there was a guy who killed a muskox with an arrow. Then stabbed it with a knife to kill it. He won because he had enough meat to survive long term. Even the people who were really good at catching snow shoe hares could not maintain their body weight because they did not have enough fat in their diet. Hares are very low fat meat.
Ever since that season the winner was typically the person who was able to kill a moose, a deer or a whole bunch salmon/lake trout/fish. Eating berries and mushrooms supplements the diet but it does not replace the PROTEIN and FAT in animal/fish meat/fat.
