Now, they are saying that this storm is going to affect DC pretty hard on Monday. Since that is January 6, id it going to affect the electoral college tally that day? I wonder how many Congress people are going to be able to get to the Capitol to do it. Will they have to postpone it if they don’t have enough in Congress to certify it?

This is from the National Weather Service.
They are areas of warnings color coded for the various weather types and it looks like it's by county.

Here's a link that's active. Just click on one of the areas in the watch boxes and it'll give you the forecast for that area.

We do but don’t live as if the storm is coming that night.
So if we have warning, we can batten everything down, and I make sure the shopping for any perishables we need is done, I do the laundry, and cook food as the electric oven is too much for the generator.
Reheating on top of the wood stove or in the microwave works better.

That’s a good idea.
I remember reading in the Little House books they’d do that because of the blizzards.
The city of Buffalo does it downtown every winter. The winds off Lake Erie are incredible.

How many of the women politicos will wear stillettos?? Women can be sooooo dumb. Pelosi is a prime example.

“The big problem is the icing they are forecasting.”
We were “iced in” for 10 days last January. Stayed cozy and all, but cabin fever was setting in.

Have our wood cook stove humming. Two cords of split, seasoned hardwood on the porch. Old man winter, have at it!

How many of the women politicos will wear stillettos?? Women can be sooooo dumb. Pelosi is a prime example. Several years ago, when the US Embassy in Iraq was still in Saddam’s Presidential Palace in Baghdad, the “incoming” alarm went off one day. As we headed to the nearby concrete bunkers, some State Department weiners came out of the overflow office trailers surrounding the palace, heading for the bunkers.
We were behind some State Dept. woman wearing a white dress (nobody wears white in the desert) and stiletto heels. We easily caught up to and passed her as she was tottering along on those heels.
State Department weiners were always good for a snicker.
